I am a programmer. I started my own company WWG Creatives LLP in early 2010. I take projects which involve creativity.
I started using computer with Photoshop. When I successfully put my male friend’s head onto a female’s body, I told my friend “with a computer, the only limit is your own imagination”.
Never attended any computing school, somehow I picked up lots of computer related skills. After failing to find a job with my biology degree, I was hired as a programmer with the help of my portfolio which I built during my school days.
After working for a while, I decided to focus on Flash because I was afraid that I would become a “jack of all traits, master of none”. Soon, I realised that the Flash knowledge I learnt can never be used in my job back then. I changed my job and found myself working in the advertising industry.
I enjoyed working on Flash for quite a number of years and slowly I started to feel I was repeating myself. There wasn’t much to be done in Flash anymore.
Currently, I’m searching for the next “trait” to master. Maybe it would be iPhone. Maybe it would be JavaScript. I’m still searching. But I have a feeling that it’s not about the platform anymore.
